The Flamingo Lens

The place where a problem is experienced is rarely the place where it's produced.

That idea sits underneath a lot of what I write.

The Flamingo Lens is about looking past the first explanation. Why does something keep happening? What is the system actually rewarding? Where is the real constraint? Why can every individual part look reasonable while the whole still fails?

Some of it comes from Product Management. Some from software. Some from work, decisions, people, or things I notice outside of either.

Mostly, it's about getting curious before getting decisive.
